COMPANY
“Mingardo Ilario Carpenteria Metallica” was founded in 1970 by Mingardo Ilario, who had over fifteen-year experience in
the metal processing field. The production was initially focused on simple carpentry work for the construction industry.
Over the time it has become more and more refined, enabling the company to collaborate with internationally renowned
companies and architects. High professional levels were achieved with the production of exclusive metal products, which
are entirely hand-wrought by our expert and highly skilled team.

EDITORS
Daniele Mingardo works in his father’s carenter’s workshop since he’s 18. In 2013, when he’s only 25, he decides to launch his own brand, Mingardo, to combine his passion for craftamanship and design: he produces small limited edition
collection of home furniture and accessories wher metals play the main role, often in combination with other materials
Exclusive, contemporary objects with an eye on details and finishings.

With “Designer | Faber”, collection limited edition, the young enterpreter Mingardo transfers the traditional production
processes and 40 years of know how from his family’s carpenter’s workshop meet contemporary design with a minimalistic
approach, where metals (copper, iron and brass) are presented at their best.

Sera (evening in Italian), is an indoor “candle-lamp”: minimalistic and iconic like a sculpture it is declined as a
free standing floorelement in two different heights (Sera 110 and Sera 90).
Dark metal structure combines with a double faced lampshade in brass or copper and white: different materials and
surface finishings play with soft candle light to create emotional atmospheres.

and sheets assembled without welding.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
As a tribute to Donald Judd, this coat-rack transfer a great Karma despite its minimal squared and linear
design, all this thanks to the chromatic contrast between the main support bar, polished and the matt
hanging elements. It’s composed by a metal bar, without end-closures, and seven squared or rectangular
hanging elements, different among-themselves, randomly positioned.

Folio is a contemporary candleholder: very minimalistic, it gets its
tridimensional aspect simply with a craftsman’s hand made gesture that
creates its curvy shape.
Made out from a pair of 2mm thick copper layers attached with a solid sole,
can find place everywhere. Part of its enhances and spirit is the spontaneus
oxidation due to its natural finish,that will occur sooner or later depending
on the usage.

Linea is a project for a “silent” bookshelf, conceived to let the books be the protagonist floating all by
themselves on the wall. Thin yet strong, its designs is very clear and sharp, creating a domestic city skyline.
On one side the roof-shaped tallest part helps keeping the book open at your last readed page. Different
modules can be combined together for small or big libraries.

Inspired by metal structures for architecture, Slide is a side table in metal and solid wood that combines design and craftsmanship. Metal parts are structure and surfaces while wood is the connection between top and bottom
part. A manually sliding system very easy to use, with an asymmetric design to be placed more easily anywhere, allows for
different heights and multiple positioning for many purposes and situations. Its
square base inspires combinations of many Slide tables one next to the
other.
