PLANET Trading Card Assignment
Your task is to design and create 9 trading cards to fit in the plastic trading card sleeve. You must make 1
card for each of the 8 planets in our solar system and 1 wild card (this could be the Sun, Comet,
Asteroid, Asteroid Belt, Dwarf Planet etc). Design 1 template that will be used for all trading cards. The
cards need to be both attractive and informative.

REMEMBER these are small cards so choose most important information – you don’t want to write
down all the information you have found.
You will create a rough draft that must be approved by me before you get started on your final copy.

This can be on looseleaf or a plain white piece of paper and must include a rough draft (both
sides) of all 9 cards. Once I approve your rough draft, you will receive the plastic sleeve.
Your final cards must include a colour picture on each card that accurately represents what the planet
looks like, the astronomical symbol, comparable stats (shown below), and an interesting fact for each
card.
The cards may be either hand or computer generated and must be neat and organized.
