Office 365 Tips and Tricks – Office 2013 Professional Plus
One of the benefits of having Microsoft Enterprise agreements is being able to provide access to tools
and software for free or extremely discounted rates to the employees of SCPS. Due to our Office 365
A3 Licensing with Microsoft you can download, for free, Office 2013 Professional Plus for use on up to
5 computers. If you prefer to have a physical copy, you can also purchase Office 2013 and receive a
backup DVD for installation through Microsoft’s Home Use Program (HUP). There is a nominal fee for
using the Home Use Program. You can choose which program you think will suit your needs best,
either way it is a great benefit that we can offer to our SCPS employees. Please see below for
information on both offers.
Method 1 (FREE): Office 2013 – Office 365 A3 Licensing
Employees are now eligible to download a subscription version of Microsoft Office products on their home
computers for free (up to 5 computers) due to our newly updated Microsoft Agreement. This includes the
Windows and Mac versions and is a feature of our Office 365 deployment. Employees just login to
http://365.scps.k12.fl.us and click on the Settings gear at the top right of the screen and then click Office 365
settings:
Next, click on the word Software on the left side of the screen and you will see this:
We recommend the 32-bit version of office, but you can download and install the 64-bit version.
As you install Office, you will be prompted for your e-mail address, please use [email protected]
Office will go out and verify those credentials against our Office 365 subscription.
Method 2 (Nominal Fee): Office 2013 – Home Use Program
The Microsoft Home Use Program (HUP) is an option for all SCPS employees to purchase Microsoft Office at a reduced
cost. The cost is $9.95 for the downloaded only version and an additional $13.99 for a backup DVD, sales tax may apply.
To access the Microsoft Home Use Program Web site:
1. Go to http://hup.microsoft.com/.
2. Select the country to which you want your order to be shipped to and choose the language for viewing the order
Web site.
3. Enter your e-mail address ([email protected]) and insert the following program
code 8B2D51E72A
Note: This program code is assigned to our organization for our sole use in accessing this site. You may not share this
number with anyone outside our organization.
4. Place your order online, and it will be shipped to the location you have chosen. Please note that a fulfillment fee will
be charged to cover packaging, shipping, and handling costs.
For the Windows version, Office 2013 is NOT compatible with Windows Vista or XP. You must have Windows 7 or better
installed on your computer.
