Parramatta Square
Parramatta Square will deliver a scale and standard of redevelopment previously unseen in
this area. Ushering in an exciting new future for Australia's sixth largest CBD, this significant
hub readies the historic Parramatta for its prosperous and successful future.
This precinct, occupying three hectares of inner city real estate, will be the focal point for
business and community. Parramatta Square will ultimately accommodate up to 13,000
workers and cement the city's role as the gateway to tomorrow
The first landmark building to occupy Parramatta Square will be 169 Macquarie Street.
When completed the building will offer over 24,200 sqm of net leasable space across 15
commercial floors, including ground level retail spaces.
169 Macquarie Street is expected to set new environmental and quality standards in
Parramatta and beyond. As well as its Five-Star Green Star rating, this 'smart building'
qualifies for five stars in the National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS)
and meets the A-grade standard for services, as dictated by the Property Council of
Australia.
The development application was lodged in February 2013 and expressions of interest for
the sale of the site are being accepted until 21 March, 2013 with CBRE. Colliers are
currently engaged in securing a tenant for this prestigious development.
Parramatta reaches new heights with iconic Aspire Tower
Parramatta City Council has lodged a development application with the Joint Regional
Planning Panel for the tallest residential tower in the Southern Hemisphere a 90-storey
development on 160-182 Church Street, Parramatta.
At its pinnacle, the Aspire Tower will reach a maximum
height of 336 metres and will feature the tallest publiclyaccessible viewing platform and experience centre in
the Southern Hemisphere.
Lord Mayor of Parramatta, Cr John Chedid said the
Aspire Tower is one of the first developments of
Parramatta City Councils Parramatta Square, a
landmark development precinct set across threehectares of Council-owned space and real estate in the heart of the Parramatta CBD.
"The Aspire Tower is about providing Sydney’s premier regional city with an iconic,
innovative development that people will instantly recognise. Sydney City has the Opera
House, Parramatta will have Aspire," Cr Chedid said.
"The development includes 700 apartments, retail space in the lower levels and a 150-room
hotel, which will bring urban vitality to that part of Church Street Mall. Further, the viewing
platform is set to give people some of the most spectacular views over Sydney."
The Aspire Tower development will incorporate a vibrant public domain, bars and retail as
well as a spectacular public function space.
"Aspire Tower on Parramatta Square is a very rare opportunity to invest in and construct a
viable and vital piece of city. The project has the ability to be transformative of its place and
of the standards that can be achieved within models of affordable urban intensification.
Because it is there, everything else around it will become more viable, more valuable and
more amenable. The Aspire Tower will enable a tangible long-term public benefit for
Parramatta," Mr Cortese said.
