Pokemon was created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1966 and has become a great success. It started
out as a game for Nintendo’s original Game Boy.
The Pokemon characters exist in a world much like our own, there are over 450 creatures of
all shapes, sizes, colours, and personalities, called pocket monsters ("pokemon" for short.)
Some pokemon are Fire types, some are Water types, some are Grass types, and so on. Some
live on land, some in the water, and some live underground.
