A word from our Founder
How do I prescribe chocolate? How should it be eaten each day? I was excited
to have this conversation recently with my doctor, who stands out to me as
extremely fit and healthy. As one of my main sources of health advice this gives
me great confidence!

He has only berry fruits for breakfast each day so I suggested he gives it a boost
by adding cocoa nibs (small pieces of pure cocoa bean) which have amazing
antioxidant properties and much more. This is just one of the truly unique things
about chocolate. The family of top antioxidant foods is dominated by the most
nutritious fruits and vegetables; asparagus, blueberries, Broccoli etc…
and then there is chocolate!

Not all chocolate is made equal in this regard and in simple terms quality dark
chocolate is much better but nonetheless it does stand there on its own in that
cluster of foods, which fits so perfectly with other aspects of its magical personality.
As we discussed this topic through we did reach a point of total agreement;
Chocolate is so overwhelmingly for pleasure in the context of food – consuming,
receiving and giving! In a health sense, despite all the science, it’s the happiness
and pure joy chocolate brings that delivers its greatest benefit. I wish you the
