With new packs like the Phantom and Mirage, the Active Motion Air Harness, and the comfort and performance of our range of active clothing, we have all the gear for your next adventure in the outdoors. Get down to Kathmandu and get into action. RUN Kathmandu Product Designer interview: James Fagan “The difference is in our minimalist approach.” By going back to basics, designer James Fagan and the Kathmandu team have created a range of active packs with performance, stability, comfort – and the user – in mind. Lite Ace Vest Women While Kathmandu’s range of active packs incorporates the essentials such as: light loops, key clips and hydration sleeves, the light and strong harness designs mean, “we have packs for the entry-level user, or the expert with specific needs. We’ve opened the outdoors up to everyone.” The new Active Motion Air (AMA) harness (featured on the Mirage and Neurone AMA packs) has allowed James to use stronger fabrics, improving durability without compromising weight. “Kathmandu quality begins at entry level and carries through to our top-end packs,” says James. Kathmandu Active Packs keep everything you need for running, cycling and hiking right there and easy to use. For the hardcore enthusiast – or those who like the best – the carbon fibre C3 Airshock™ is built to tame the hills. The C3 is light and easy to swing, so your energy goes into moving your feet and not the poles. With two grip options you have all-terrain performance, without the need for constant length adjustment. The ribbed EVA foam grip, with eight degrees of positive angle, reduces strain on your wrist. Working with the lined wrist loop, it keeps your hands drier for improved grip on a hot day. Komperdell’s pneumatic Airshock™ minimises impact on shoulders and elbows, and produces a progressive damping effect for confident pole placement on the most unstable of surfaces. It can be switched on and off for power on the hills and comfort as you walk. To protect your investment, the replaceable tungsten carbide tip reduces the risk of pole damage in rough environments. And maintaining the C3 is a breeze. A quick wipe with a damp cloth and they’re ready for use next time.
