FROM THE PRESIDENT - The Landings New Neighbors

September/October 2014
FROM THE PRESIDENT
Welcome back to those who traveled this summer. We’re glad you returned safely
and in time to celebrate a new New Neighbors season of exploration, information, dining,
planning, playing, meeting, and fun!
As you look through this newsletter, be sure to make note of the things that look
enticing. Notice the sign-up dates and reservation procedures. Our very popular activities
fill up quickly, so be sure you get on the list. However, if you don’t participate this year, be
aware most events or excursions will undoubtedly be repeated at some point during the
term of your NN membership.
Is there an activity that you’ve always wanted to try, but it’s not yet on the schedule?
How about something that you’re really good at and are willing to share your expertise?
Chances are there’s someone else in our great group who wants to join you. So, let us know,
and we may give it a go!
Haven’t yet registered for the NN Kick-Off Luncheon - Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
There may still be time. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to join in the festivities and
to learn all about our Activities Chairs’ terrific plans for the coming year.
In an effort to ensure that all of our NN members are familiar with the policies of The
Landings Club, included below is a policy change recently published by the TLC Board of
Directors. This change will have an effect on the use of Club facilities, such as the Cabana
Bar. We encourage you to become familiar with all of the Club policies so that you can best
enjoy your NN experience.
Effective September 15, 2014, only guests with a valid guest card will
be permitted to use credit cards (MasterCard or Visa) for purchase of
food and beverage in our clubhouses. To register guests, members must
visit the Club’s Operations offices at 71 Green Island Road. As in the
past, guests and members may continue to use credit cards to purchase
merchandise in the pro shops.
The New Neighbors season is about to begin. So, get ready…..get set…..ENJOY!!
