Country Club, you will know that you’re in for
something special! Since its founding as a private
family club in 1964, Hunting Creek Country Club has
been the place to get away from the stresses of
everyday life and develop life-long friendships.
Surrounded by the beautiful Kentucky countryside,
yet with the city of Louisville just minutes away,
our members and their guests enjoy an 18-hole golf
course, six clay tennis courts, one hard tennis court,
an Olympic-size swimming pool and beautiful
clubhouse. The club offers active social, golf, tennis
and aquatic programs for members and their families.

With its spectacular view of the rolling hills in
Kentucky and the wooded area across the Ohio River
in southern Indiana, the 7,002 yard championship golf
course with a 135 slope rating provides a distinctive
golfing challenge. The golf course was designed by
the late Ben Wihry, a longtime club member, in 1964.
Many changes to the original layout have taken place
over the years. Famed golf course architect, Arthur
Hill, redesigned all the bunkers on the course in 1989.
During its history, the club has hosted nearly every
major golf event in the state, including three
Kentucky Open Championships over the last 25 years.
The Hunting Creek Country Club Tennis Center
offers both hard and clay courts. USPTA teaching
professionals are always on hand to provide
exceptional individual and group instruction as
well as round robins, socials and mixers in a
comprehensive mix of formal and casual events.
Our Junior Tennis Program is dedicated to nurturing
the growth of young players from beginners to
serious competitors by providing superior ageappropriate instruction programs and practice at
playing in competition with club championships
and city-wide competitions.

The Hunting Creek Country Club’s hospitality areas
are known for first-class fresh ingredients, innovative
menu options and presentation in both fine and
casual dining. Comfortable atmosphere and
exceptional service are the crowning touches that
make dining at the club a first-rate experience for
families, couples, friends and colleagues.
The Hunting Creek Country Club pool is the perfect
setting for family fun with snacks and a cool drink.
The Junior Olympic pool is complete with a diving
well and a fun fountain-centered children’s pool.
Our Red Cross-certified lifeguards provide a safe
environment for the whole family. In addition, we
have a swim team for children of various age and skill
levels with busy spring and summer practices and
competitive meets in the country club league.
