nights will be at Treasure Island on the Las Vegas Strip. Treasure Island Resort resembles something
out of a Robert Louis Stevenson adventure.
MONDAY, MARCH 7 - Today we will visit the Atomic Testing Museum.
Museum This museum features both changing
and permanent exhibits relating to the history of the Nevada Test Site. Tonight we have tickets to
Mystère
Mystère at our hotel. Mystère is classic Cirque du Soleil, combining the powerful athleticism, highenergy acrobatics and inspiring imagery that has become the company’s hallmark. Deemed a theatrical
"flower in the desert," Mystère thrills generations of audiences with its exhilarating blend of whimsy,
drama and the unimaginable brought to life on stage. Presented exclusively at Treasure Island, Mystère
provides the ultimate discovery that life itself is a mystery.
TUESDAY, MARCH 8 - The day is free to explore the many interesting hotels on the “Strip.”
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9 - We will have a late morning departure for Death Valley where our first stop will be
at the Visitor’s Center. This afternoon we arrive in Death Valley where our accommodations for the
next two nights will be at the FURNACE CREEK RANCH.
RANCH This evening enjoy a hosted “Barbecue
Under the Stars” dinner.
THURSDAY, MARCH 10 - A hosted breakfast will be provided at our hotel. Today we have a step-on guide
as we explore Death Valley National Park, and a very strange phenomenon, SCOTTY’S CASTLE.
Picture a Spanish-Moorish mansion looming on the desert like a mirage, full of treasures and fine
furniture. Built by death Valley Scotty and his millionaire partner Albert Johnson, it cost two million
dollars and took ten years to build. We’ll tour the castle and then head for the valley’s natural terrain
including the 3,000 year old Ubehebe Crater,
Crater created by a massive volcanic explosion, and the
interesting displays at Borax Mills.
Mills We will have a hosted lunch at Stovepipe Wells.
FRIDAY, MARCH 11 - We will have a hosted breakfast at our hotel before we depart. We will make a stop at
Badwater, the lowest elevation in the US, on the way to Baker where we will have a hosted lunch at Big
Boy. Our accommodations for the night will be at the Four Points in Bakersfield. Tonight we will have
