with the terms and conditions for room hire.

Function Room Terms and Conditions
Deposit
The Commercial Hotel requires a deposit of $200.00 to secure your function
date. Tentative bookings will be held for no more than 48 hours in which a
deposit will be required.
Cancellations
Should you cancel your function 15 days prior to the function date any
moneys paid will be refunded. Should your function be cancelled within 14
days of the function date you will forfeit your deposit unless we are able to
rebook the room.
Payment of Accounts
Full payment (Room Hire, Food & Entertainment) is required 7 days prior to
the function commencing. If you require a bar tab, this money or credit card
must be provided at the start of the function. Personal or bank cheques will
only be accepted with pre-approval & a minimum of 14 days prior to the
function date. We accept all forms of credit cards including Amex and
Diners Club.
Function Duration
All functions are for a maximum of 5 hour duration with a finishing time of
no later than midnight. The bar will be closed 30 mins prior to the end of the
function.
Room Hire
The Room may be hired as a Half Room (up to 80 guest) for $500.
Full Room is available for $1000.
Function Food
Finger Food items are subject to change upon availability. Finger food is
based on approximately 9 portions per person what we believe as a
reasonably consumed basis. The minimum number of guests for a Cocktail
Function is 50 guest. No home made food is to be brought into the venue, with
the exception of a celebration cake. The customer organises the cutting and
serving of the cake, unless otherwise discussed.
Entertainment
The Commercial Hotel can organise a Jukebox, DJ, Duo or Band upon request
(available with Full Room Hire only).
Security
As per our liquor licence, all functions with amplified music are required to
have a minimum of 2 guards for the first 100 guests at a cost of $150.
An additional fee of $100 will be incurred depending on the extra amount of
guests.
Damage or Theft
The customer (you) will be responsible for any damage that may occur in
relation to your function, for any loss, damage or theft of goods belonging to
the customer or their guests. The Commercial Hotel strictly adheres to
Health, Liquor & Safety Acts and all Federal and State Regulations.
The customer and their guests also undertake to conform to these regulations.
Liquor Licensing Requirement
The Management reserves the right to exclude or remove any person from a
function in accordance with the Liquor Control Act of Victoria.
The Management reserves the right to refuse admission to any or all other
areas of the venue in accordance with the Liquor Control Act of Victoria.
Offensive behaviour will not be tolerated at any time during a function on
the hotel premises.
Persons under 18 years of age are not to consume alcohol and must be
accompanied by an adult as per the Liquor Control Act. Proof of age may be
asked. If a person does not have proof of age, they will be asked to leave the
premises.
Decorations
Nothing is to be nailed, screwed, stapled or adhered to any wall, door or other
section of the building. Signage must be approved by Management and must
be kept to a minimum unless otherwise arranged. Any decorations put up by
the customer are to be removed by the customer upon completion of the
function. Strictly no confetti, glitter or foil scatters are permitted inside the
venue.
Unforeseen Circumstances
In the event of fire, flood damage or any other unforeseen circumstance
where the event is unable to proceed, The Commercial Hotel or Management
will not be held liable. A refund will be given where applicable.
If the function stated by the customer is found or believed to be untrue of its
nature,
Management reserves the right to hold all payments made by the customer
and can/will request the function to come to an end.
Minimum Bar: The minimum bar with full room hire
spend is $1500 Half room hire spend is $700 you will be
expected to cover this amount if bar sales have not
reached the bar spend on the day or night of your
function.
Minimum Food: The minimum food spend for full
room hire $1000, for half room hire is $500
