Mi familia
(My family)
Home Learning Dates: 12th—19th April 2016
Your Spanish home learning project is about you and your family. You
must create a celebrity family and describe what you, your family and
friends look like. You must also complete a mini interview with four
people.
In addition, you must also complete the reflection tasks within this
booklet, thinking about how you have learned. If you need any help,
just ask your Spanish teacher.
You can choose how to present your work from the following options:

Short movie

PowerPoint Presentation

Hand written/drawn

Photos cut out and stuck on with annotations
Your presentation must include some of the interview you conducted.
Your deadline is the week beginning 19th April. It is to be handed in to
your teacher when you have a Spanish lesson that week.

TASK ONE: Interview your family
Conduct a mini interview. Ask 4 people the questions below IN SPANISH.
You should teach them how to respond in Spanish. Write out the
conversation or record it.
You can use the vocabulary pages to help you.
It is important you include:

what your name is (me llamo…)

what age you are (tengo...años)

Ask them their name

Ask what age they are

Ask when their birthday is
TASK TWO: Create a celebrity family and friends tree
Describe what your family and friends look like (you can choose celebrities
or your real family) and what their personality is like. You must be able to
describe them in Spanish and you can use the vocabulary pages to help
you.
It is important you say:

who the person is (es mi hermano- this is my brother);

what their name is (se llama- he/she is called);

what colour hair and eyes they have;

how tall they are;

what their personality is like;
TASK THREE: Reflection
Complete the Learning Habits and Evaluation pages.
Success Criteria
You will need to follow the success criteria to ensure that you
have fully completed each task
Task One: Interviews

You need to ask 4 people basic questions about who they are.

You have to teach them how to answer in Spanish.

You could write it out or include a video of your family and/or friends
being interviewed in Spanish.
Task Two: Describe your family and friends

You need to include photos or drawings of your family and friends
which you can then describe in Spanish. They can be celebrities.

You can set it out as a family tree with the descriptions written
around the person.

You must use Spanish to say:

C. Where they live
D. What they look like
E. Describe their personality

