NARAL Pro-Choice
Colorado 2016 Ballot Guide
Being a pro-choice voter has a special significance this year.
From voting for choice champions such as Secretary Hillary Clinton to
ensuring a progressive Congress to work with, it has never been more
important to stick by our pro-choice values. Together we can stop
unrelenting attacks on women’s health in the Colorado Legislature and
support pro-choice policy in the constitution.
Please check out NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado’s list of endorsed candidates
before sending in your ballot, or even as a guide as you fill it out!

4 Amendment 70: State Minimum Wage Increase 6 Amendment 69: ColoradoCare
Minimum Wage increases most directly positively
impact Colorado women and their families.
4 Amendment T: No Slavery No Exceptions
Amendment T is bipartisan, common sense, and
should be non-controversial.
4 Prop 106: End of Life Options
We support the right of all Coloradans to make
their own personal, private medical decisions
in consideration with their family, their faith, and
their doctor.

While we support universal healthcare, Amendment 69 does
not offer any written protections for abortion coverage
and is therefore not truly universal. Due to a 1984 public
funding ban on abortion, 69 has the potential to severely
limit low income women’s access to abortion coverage.
6 Amendment 71: Requirements for Initiated
Constitutional Amendments
Amendment 71 quite simply makes it harder or even
impossible to overturn the 1984 state funding ban for
abortion in the Colorado Constitution.
6 Prop 107/Prop 108: Presidential Primaries,
Open Primaries
While we support the idea of primaries, these two measures
miss the mark. The new ballots as proposed are confusing,
and we worry that a disproportionate number of
unaffiliated voters will have their ballots invalidated.
The “winner-take-all” methodology for Presidential
elections eliminates proportional representation and
will disenfranchise Colorado voters.
