ESTHETICS CERTIFICATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS • Complete and return an application for admission or complete the application online at www.cccc.edu. • Submit an official high school transcript or official high school equivalency. Students have the ability to shape their educational experience by choosing a program that accommodates their schedule. Full-Time Day One semester to complete. Schedule option available during the fall or spring semester. 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 1:00 pm Monday – Thursday • Submit additional information if it is requested. • The placement test is not required for this program. • To be admitted to this program, applicants must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency. Part-Time Mornings Two semesters to complete. Schedule option available only during the fall semester. Part-Time Evenings Two semesters to complete. Schedule option available only during the fall semester. 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm Monday – Thursday *The part-time evening program must reach minimum enrollment to be offered as scheduled* Esthetics classes are only instructed at the Sanford campus in Lee County. Schedule options may vary each semester. Classes must reach their minimum enrollment point to be offered as scheduled. New students can start the program in accordance with the above schedule options. New students do not begin in the summer. Tuition is paid at the time of registration and is based on credit hours for that semester. If needed, students should apply for financial aid early or have payment ready for registration. Students can apply for federal grants at https://fafsa.ed.gov/. Our FAFSA school code is 005449. Students are also encouraged to complete the CCCC scholarship application by May 1 each year. The college does not have an educational loan program. Esthetics students will have their financial aid award disbursed when a pre-determined amount of clock hours are completed. Students receiving financial aid should speak to the Financial Aid Office regarding the disbursement process. TRANSFER STUDENTS Students interested in transferring from another Esthetics program will need to provide all admission requirements in addition to documented hours and an official transcript that details prior Esthetics course work. All hours and credit will be reviewed to determine advanced placement into the CCCC Esthetics program. ESTHETICS INSTRUCTOR CCCC offers an Esthetics Instructor Certificate that instructs licensed estheticians in the skills needed to teach the theory and practice of esthetics as required by the NC Board of Cosmetic Arts. Enrollment is limited and is based upon date of application. The program begins each fall (August). Esthetics Instructor students that are receiving financial aid will have their funds disbursed when a pre-determined amount of clock hours are completed. Esthetics students are required to wear cocoa nursing scrub uniforms and brown enclosed shoes with no additional coloring. Shoes must be worn with brown pantyhose, socks, or stockings. Students may wear dresses or pants. Cocoa lab coats are optional. Uniforms and shoes may be purchased at uniform stores or at some department stores. Students are responsible for obtaining the Esthetics kit and textbooks. These items are available at the Central Carolina Community College Bookstore. Part-time evening students will begin in the fall semester (August) and graduate the following May. These students will enroll for two semesters and take eight credit hours each semester. (First semester: COS 119 and COS 120; Second semester: COS 125 and COS 126). Part-time day students will begin in the fall semester (August) and graduate the following May. These students will enroll for two semesters and take eight credit hours each semester. (First semester: COS 119 and COS 120; Second semester: COS 125 and COS 126). Full-time day students may begin in the fall semester (August) or in the spring semester (January). Students will enroll for 16 credit hours and complete the program in one semester.
