The Holiday Social held in
December at Selvester’s
Cafe on the CSU, Chico
campus was attended by
over 75 retired faculty
and staff.
Attendees represented
over 2,000 years of
service to the University.
There was socializing,
excellent refreshments,
and wonderful musical
entertainment.
The chorus had everyone
singing along with favorite
“oldies” and holiday
music.
The Sweet Adelines, a
California Heat chorus
consisting of 22 women
who perform barbershop
music, dazzled everyone.
A truly amazing performance.

Multiple studies have shown that the most important key to increasing one’s
wellbeing during the later years of life is ongoing physical exercise along with
proper nutrition and rest. And yet, after retirement, it seems that many of us face a
bevy of challenges preventing us from doing just that.
For instance, there may be a time of recuperation from a variety of physical
ailments or a development of certain health issues. Thus, it is likely that questions
will arise regarding how one can feel better, enjoy life more fully, maintain a
healthy weight or optimize energy levels.
In light of all of these challenges, In Motion Fitness Health Club/Resort started a
wellness program to help elders. On Tuesday, April 10, In Motion has invited
ERFA members to come to the club and enjoy a free lunch and a tour of the
facilities, which will include information on club activities for seniors. You will also
be able to participate in a drawing for a variety of prizes.
We look forward to seeing you at this enjoyable and educational event.
Please sign up by calling Academic Affairs at 530-898-6101.
