CHAPTER AWARDS
New Member Educational Programming: The chapter receiving this award demonstrates
a commitment to provide non-hazing activities that teach both history and values of the
chapter while working to provide personal development opportunities for new members.
Chapter of the Year: The chapter receiving this award exemplifies the organization’s core
values and enriches the experience of its members. They have gone above and beyond the
minimum standards set for them and have excelled in an array of areas throughout our
community.
Alumni Relations Award: The chapter receiving this award builds meaningful
relationships between members and alumni through varied programs and communication.
Scholarship Award: The chapter receiving this award integrates innovative programming
that promotes intellectual engagement and growth of its membership.
Chapter Community Service & Philanthropic Endeavors Award: Service and
philanthropy are core values of the fraternal community. The chapter receiving this award
demonstrates the utmost altruistic behavior with raising funds or products to benefit a preselected philanthropy/non-profit at a local and national level through programs, service
events or activities have significantly contributed to those in attendance through
engagement, relationship building and education of members and the community.
CHAPTER SUPPORT AWARDS
House Director of the Year: House Directors provide valuable insight and advice to
chapter houses on a daily basis. The recipient of this award exceeds all expectations of the
position and establishes a bond with his or her chapter which is invaluable. This House
Director instills a lasting impression on the chapter and its members through the care and
dedication to the values of the Greek community.
Chapter Advisor of the Year: The advisors to our fraternities and sororities are incredible
resources that sacrifice their time in order to share personal experiences and knowledge
about the important of being a values-based Greek organization. The Advisor of the Year not
only encompasses all of these traits, but exceeds all expectations of the position and
deserves special recognition for his or her continual commitment to the DePauw Greek
community.
Faculty Scholarship Advisor of the Year: University faculty and staff members make
Greek life possible at DePauw. This award recognizes one of these faculty or staff members
who is judged to have contributed the most to a DePauw University's Greek Chapter. Faculty
advisers, house directors, and all other DePauw faculty members who are involved in Greek
Life are eligible for this award.

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS
Outstanding Chapter President Award: Chapter Presidents are leaders dedicated to
ensuring the well being of her/his respective chapter. Presidents are not afraid of the
challenge and self sacrifice sometimes necessary to lead a chapter. The recipient of the
award for Outstanding Chapter President fulfills these responsibilities and much more. This
president has committed her/himself to the betterment of the chapter and has left a legacy
that will be remembered for many years to come.
Outstanding Individual Community Service Award: The recipient of this award is
committed to service and civic engagement, which reflects their Greek values of community
service and represents the DePauw Greek community.
Future Greek Leader (First-Year Student): This award is designed to recognize an
outstanding new member, initiated in Fall 2011 or Spring 2012, who has attained a high
standard of scholarship and initiative/leadership in the chapter, DePauw, and Greek
community.
Rising Greek Leader (Sophomore): This award is designed to recognize an outstanding
sophomore member of a fraternity and sorority who has contributed time and outstanding
leadership for the betterment of their chapter and Greek community and who will continue
to do so during the rest of their time at DePauw.
Inspiring Greek Leader (Junior): This award is designed to recognize an outstanding
junior member of a fraternity and sorority who has continually engaged in the Greek
community by mentoring the younger members of their chapter and demonstrating
exemplary leadership in the chapter, DePauw, and Greek community.
Fraternity/Sorority Member of the Year (Senior): This award is presented to one
graduating fraternity and sorority member for outstanding contributions to his or her
chapter, the Greek community, and the DePauw community. This is a special honor
recognizing the fraternity and sorority member held in the highest esteem in the Greek
community. These recipients exhibit exemplary academic and extracurricular achievements
and leadership qualities that make them stand out among their peers.
