The Eagle - The Bad Pedagogue

‘The Eagle’
He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ringed with the azure world, he stands.
5
The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls.
Alfred, Lord Tennyson (1809-92)

I do not sell resources.
− The selling of resources from teachers to teachers
is, in my opinion, completely immoral.
− Nothing is entirely original, and I do not pretend
that any of my resources are. The resources I
create are a product of everything I have picked
up so far in my teaching career, so I would feel
extremely uncomfortable selling them. I spend a lot
of time creating resources, but this still does not
mean I should be selling them.
− I take pride in giving away my resources for free.
Sharing resources is one way of extending my
influence as a teacher beyond the four walls of my
own classroom. It is a wonderful feeling knowing
that my resources are helping a teacher teach
and learners learn on the other side of the country
or even the world!
− Be kind, for goodness sake! We are all in this
together, and we should all be supporting one
another in our common goal of educating.
