ESSAY
Applicants are required to submit two essays at Level 1 and one essay for Levels 2 & 3. These essays will
help establish your level of motivation in the field of wines and beverages as also your proficiency and ease
with English as a medium of communication. Essays submitted may be printed but preferably, may be handwritten legibly on ruled A4 sheets. Please respect the word limit.


ESSAY 1 Personal Essay (500 WORDS) (Only for those applying to level 1)
This essay is a tool for applicants to reflect upon themselves. You are expected to talk about what
has brought you to where you are and where do you wish to go from here. You must also mention
why you feel this field is your calling and how in the long run you see yourself making a difference

essays from previous years.
ESSAY 2 – General Essay (1000 WORDS)
Write an essay on any current topic or emerging issue in the alcoholic beverage industry,
preferably wines. Alternatively you may choose to present a scribble on any topic of your choice –
from a life-altering incident to an issue about which you feel strongly. For a list of recommended
