Returning once again to our Chamber Series, this ensemble will entertain you with a variety of styles, genres and informative insights into this era. Also joining the “Town Band” this year is pianist Michael Mishler, performing classic rags from the period. Early next month! Though new as an ensemble, the personnel of this exciting trio comprises local artists well known to most – oboist Kaycee Thomas, cellist Daniel Thomas and pianist Naki Sung Kripfgans. The group enjoys presenting repertoire of unique combinations, typically featuring new works by composers including Kalevi Aho, Nikola Resanovic, Friedrich Cerha and others, along with lesser known works by composers such as Robert Schumann. It's not all seriousness, scholarship, and social witness at Wesley, as Allison, Steven, and Eve celebrate Friday night freedom at the recent Grilled Cheese Party.
