Purpose of the Conference
The Organizers:
This international conference is dedicated
to the 215th birth anniversary of a famous
geologist, mineralogist, ethnologist, Rector of
the University of Chile in Santiago, an
outstanding scientist, a member of the
November 1830 Uprising, a spokesperson for
Lithuania, Poland and France Ignacy
Domeyko (1802-1889). I. Domeyko moved to
Vilnius in 1816 and lived on the Pilies street.
Being only fourteen years old I. Domeyko
started studying at the Department of
Mathematics and Physics of Vilnius
University.

Presentations (approx. 20 minutes each) of the
invited speakers will be presented in the
plenary meeting; oral presentations (approx.
10 minutes each) and poster sessions will be
held separately for different sections.

Requirements for Papers
The conference will be held from the 28th to
the 30th of July, 2017 at Vilnius University
and Lithuanian Academy of Sciences.
Registration of the participants begins on the
28th of July at 9 am.
Opening ceremony of the conference is on the
28th of July at 10 am.
First Announcement and Call for Papers – 21st
of November, 2016.
Registration Form to be returned till 31st
December, 2016.
Second Circular – 21st of January, 2017.
Third Circular and Programme – 21st of May,
2017.
Deadline for the abstracts the 31st of May,
2017.
Conference fee must be paid by the 30th of
June, 2017.
The conference begins on the 28th of July,
2017.
Papers should be submitted in English. Texts
should not exceed four pages (WORD.doc,
TNR, 12 pt., 1.15 space), b/w and colour
illustrations are allowed. Text template for
authors would be presented in the Second
Circular.

visit Ignacy Domeyko homeland sites
(details – in the Registration Form).

English and Lithuanian
Publication of Papers
Conference Fee
Conference registration fee is 100 euros; 50
euros for students and seniors. The fee must
be paid by the 30th of June, 2017.
Payment information, accomodation details,
travel schedules will be given in the 2nd
Circular.

evaluation of Scientific Programme Comittee
