Catholic Charities Community Services (CCCS) is a specialty office of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Rochester and offers services in the 12 counties of the diocese. Assistance for the developmentally disabled includes service coordination, rehabilitative services, and residential programs. They run 11 certified residential sites and help many others living independently in the community. The agency is also a provider of services to adults with traumatic brain injury. A third area of assistance is to those who have HIV/AIDS. Most of their budget is funded by New York State. However, there are many individual and family needs that are unmet. Our parish sharing contribution next weekend will help to cover some of those needs. The organization has recently relocated from East Ridge Road in Irondequoit to Jay Street (Water Tower Office Park). Two members of our parish (one just retired) are/have been on the executive staff of CCCS. We Welcome You to St. Charles Borromeo Parish Are You Thinking About the Catholic Faith? Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… - Matthew 28:19 One person at a time through faithful witness and personal invitation! Share our Christian joy with another: who has not been baptized and would like to learn more about the Catholic faith, and possibly considers becoming a Catholic, who is baptized Christian of another denomination who would like to learn more about the Catholic faith, who is a baptized in the Catholic Church who has never received Eucharist or Confirmation and would like to complete the sacraments of initiation, or a child over the age of 7 who has never been baptized in another Christian faith or has been baptized Catholic and has never received instruction on the Catholic faith. Invite them to consider going through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults and Children (RCIA and RCIC). Through this process of prayerful support and guidance, they will be fully initiated to the Catholic faith by receiving the sacraments of baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation.
