Write the following cities on the
board: London, New York, Prague,
Sydney. Elicit what countries they
are in and a few facts about each
one. Then ask the class what they
know about Christmas customs
in each country / city. Show them
the following pictures and let
them guess which city it is. Can
they guess the name of the city in
picture 5?

and give each group a city. Tell them
to read about their city in the article
and fill in the column in the table on
p. 5 that relates to that city.

to the group what they learnt about
their city while the other three
students fill in their table.
