S3 HISTORY: SCHEMES OF WORK 2015 ‐ 2016 Aims : The aims of the S.3 curriculum are: 1. to arouse and develop students’ interest in the past; 2. to help students understand the present in the context of the past; 3. to help students apprehend the distinctive skills employed in history learning; 4. to help students acquire the values and attitudes in: respecting local culture and heritage and those of other communities; developing a sense of national identity and to become responsible citizens.
