something meaningful for the user.

Arccos’ Challenge
The solution
Despite already offering a comprehensive desktop/
web-based dashboard, new and existing customers
told Arccos they wanted better data visualization. They
asked for a fluid experience on their mobile so their
data could be seen and acted upon while on the golf
course.
With mobile data visualization a fundamental part of
its product, Arccos partnered with shinobicontrols’,
using its native controls to deliver a feature-rich app in
record time.
Arccos recognized the power of mobile, and were
eager to add this to its overall offering within a
relatively short time span. Looking to maximise their in
house resources to deliver quickly, Ben Heller, Director
of Software Development, started the search for an
off-the-shelf solution that offered performance, and
extensive customization.
To meet these needs, Arccos purchased a professional
subscription; giving its developers access to all
of shinobicontrols’ product line, and one-to-one
technical support.
Within Arccos’ app, an extensive range of chart types,
including pies, lines and bars were used to visualize
key data in real-time. Animation and interaction we’re
also added to create a fluid experience for the user;
allowing them to pan and zoom.
Ben said “We had to find a solution that could handle
the large amount of data that our sensors collect, but
also be customizable so the charts would
fit with our design requirements and match
the look and feel of our wider brand. Speed
to market was important so it needed to
be easy to integrate, as a consequence we
saved time and money than developing all
the charts in house”
