• To safeguard and promote TSG by:
– enlarging the existing network (ETSGA –
www.jugaje.com) towards Northern and Eastern
Europe;
This resulted in 7 new ETSGA members from following countries: HUN
(2), ROE, CZE (2), HRV & RUS.
– exchange of experiences, knowledge and
insights about promoting TSG in Europe.

Involving TSG associations of East and NorthEurope:

3 regional conferences (41 associations present out of 23
countries)

A. The enormous diversity of TSG in Europe is a trump but also
a challenge for working together. (differences in
accommodation, ambition, language, …)
B. It is necessary for all children to get to know their local
traditional sport. Schools are the best instrument to reach
this goal.
C. Traditional sports need recognition by local, regional and
national authorities.
D. TSG-associations should work together in umbrella
organisations, both at national and European level.

1. We recommend the EU to support a structure at
European level to identify and disseminate TSG.
2. We recommend the EU to create a “Day of
European traditional sports and games” (date; maybe
within the European week of sports).
3. We recommend the EU to advise EU-countries to
implement the promotion of TSG in their sports
policy.

a) Relationships between TSG are multiplied and
intensified
b) Self consciousness of TSG-organisations has
increased
c) VlaS keeps the SETS-website online and active.
d) TSG is a topic in the Erasmus+Sport call 2016 – so
new TSG-projects can be realised.
e) There are talks with the sport Unit of the European
Commission about facilitating a European platform
on TSG.
