Introduction to Taking Supplements
Anytime you receive remedies from The Reference Point, they will come with a customized instruction
sheet. This sheet is titled “Remedy Instructions” and will have your name and the current date on it. Your
instructions will list out all the remedies to take, along with your dose. The instructions are categorized by
type of remedy (Supplements, Herbal Liquids, Herbal Capsules, etc.) and describe how to take each type
of remedy (with or without food, time of day, etc.). Each category will provide several options as to how
to take that type of remedy, from the most ideal way to take it to other perfectly acceptable ways, even if
not ideal, so that you can choose the option that is most convenient for your life.

During your QRA, our practitioner will suggest the best supplements to help you on your health journey.

Many manufacturers claim to make the finest products, yet in 1999 Darryl et. al. published a paper titled
“An In Vitro Screening Study of 196 Natural Products for Toxicity and Effectiveness” in The American
Nutraceutical Association found only 2.5% of nutritional products were both nontoxic and effective
(www.ana-jana.org/Journal/journals/JANAVol21.pdf). We have chosen these three brands because we
know they are highly effective and non-toxic.
What if I already take nutritional supplements?
If you are already taking nutritional supplements on your own, you will likely have a smoother transition
into your Nutritional Program, so you are one step ahead. Ideally, we will gradually replace your existing
supplements with equivalents from our products, as we will be testing your body with our products for the
nutritional support it needs. Ultimately, there is a tremendous difference in the quality of supplements
available, and your choice of products will make the difference in the effectiveness of your program. Most
common supplements have excipients that we feel are toxic and counterproductive to reaching your health
goals. If you have a particular supplement from another source you want to continue to work with, you
can bring it in with you to your appointment and we can test it for toxicity.
Tablets vs. Gelatin Capsules vs. Vegetable Capsules
Tablets. In the past, tablets were approved only for short-term use and were never designed to be taken for
long-term use because of the flowing agents, binders and glues. Most tablets are made by using high
pressure (20,000 pounds per square inch) to compress the ingredients and are then heated in dryers. This
process can damage the nutrients. Tablets also incorporate glues, flowing agents and other potentially
toxic materials.
Gelatin capsules. Gelatin capsules are absorbed twice as well as a tablet and do not require pressure or
heat to capture the vital ingredients. Unfortunately, gelatin capsules utilize a toxic preservative and are
made from animal body parts, such as hooves, that carry the risk of prion exposure from BSE (bovine
spongiform encephalopathy). In addition, they are twice as expensive as a tablet. Their absorption can be
delayed when consumed with cold liquids.
Vegetable capsules (Vcaps). Vcaps are twice as well absorbed as a gelatin capsule, regardless of the

temperature of the fluid consumed with the capsule. They have no risk of toxic prion exposure and
contain no toxic preservatives. However, they do cost twice as much as a gelatin capsule.
What are Excipients?
Excipients are binders, fillers, and “glues” that are typically non-nutritive substances in nutritional
products. These substances are often test toxic. Tablets always contain excipients (that’s how they are
made). Therefore we suggest avoiding nutritional products in tablet form.
A few examples of questionable excipients commonly found in nutritional products:
Magnesium Strearate – a cheap lubricating agent; research shows it to be immune-compromising
Methyl Paraben – a benzoate family member; a known cancer-causing agent
Microcystalline Cellulose – a cheap filler
Sillicon Dioxide – a cheap flowing agent (common sand)
Natural Flavors – a common name used for monosodium glutamate (MSG) which is a well known
neurotoxic agent
Methyacrylic copolymer – methacrylic acid, a component of methacrylic acid copolymer, has been
reported to act as a teratogen in rat embryo cultures.
Triethyl Citrate – a plasticizer
Titanium Dioxide – used for color; liver toxic
Corn Starch – typically from cheap GMO corn; can invoke allergic responses
Talcum Powder – a common excipient rarely listed on product labels; a suspected carcinogen

Tips for Working Supplements into Your Life
We understand taking these supplements can be daunting. Below are a few tips people have given us
through the years:
Set a daily routine. It will be overwhelming at first, and we don’t expect you to be perfect at it. But
practice will make perfect, and after a few days you’ll get the hang of it.
Keep a reusable spill-proof bottle (like an old 2 oz Max B bottle) full of your daily dose of your herbal
liquids. Every time you fill your water bottle add some of your herbal liquids to the water. This allows
you to drink them throughout the day with only one water bottle.
Take capsules every time you eat. This way you can’t forget them; and if you need to take digestive
before the meal it’s easy to remember since you’re taking all your capsules at meal time.
Buy small containers (available at the front desk) to put your capsules in. This way it’s easy to fill a
few days ahead of time so you can grab-and-go when needed.
If we’ve suggested Gallbladder-ND for sleep, try taking your daily dose closer to bed time to aid in
the cleansing process.
If we’ve suggested Max-B and you’re sensitive to products that help with energy, make sure to finish
your daily dose before 4 pm.

The Importance of pH – Balancing your body’s pH is the first step to outrageous health. An alkaline
pH is the baseline to a strong body and disease prevention. When the body’s pH is in range, disease
can not exist. Clearing infection from the body and maintaining a healthy, alkaline diet will promote
a balanced pH, as well as products specific to pH balance. To support healthy pH levels, we suggest
supplementing with “The PH Trio”.
Super Foods utilize nutrients necessary for life – vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids found in a
well balance diet.
Digestive support – broad-spectrum digestive enzymes for all individuals who eat cooked food, and
HCL for all individuals over 40 years of age, or who are younger but eat diets high in cooked foods,
protein, or sugar.
B Vitamins should be taken daily to manage stress and support your liver.
Antioxidants support your body with extra nourishment for greater over overall health. If you

The Importance of pH:
Monitoring & Supporting pH Balance
PH is a measure of how acid or alkaline your body is. Your pH can be determined by testing 2 different
ways. One is with your first morning urine after 5:00 am, using pH Paper. The other is through testing
your saliva first thing in the morning with a pH stick. The urine pH is directly correlated to both tissue
oxygen levels and soft tissue levels of minerals and trace minerals. PH levels are affected mainly by
infection in the body, diet and dental health. Ideal pH balance is between 6.4 and 7.0 for urinary and 7.1
and 7.5 salivary. Anything below the threshold is too acidic, and anything above the threshold is too
alkaline.
The pH of your tissues makes a tremendous difference in health. The vast majority of us are walking
around in a state of acidosis (too acidic), meaning our body is in a state of physiological disregulation and
distress due to lack of sufficient minerals (which are needed to carry out thousands of basic cellular
functions). This cripples our bodies, allows a safe haven for parasites and chronic infections, this
diminishes the oxygenation of our tissues, and prevents our bodies from being able to absorb minerals,
which ultimately leads to bone loss, arthritis and much more. Almost all chronic illness takes place in a
body that has become acidic due to the gradual depletion of its mineral reserves.
Pathogens (fungal, viral, bacterial, parasitical), including cancer, can not survive in an alkaline
environment. For disease prevention and reversal, healthy bones and high energy, monitor and balance
your pH with the pH trio, 3 products which work together to bring the body’s pH into range.
Coral Legend (½ - 3 tsp. daily). 100% Sango marine coral powder containing highly ionized calcium,
magnesium, and trace elements. Re-mineralizes the body, raising pH. Due to the quality and bioavailability of this calcium, it has been helpful for many individuals who had suffered with degenerating
discs, pain in the feet, legs and knees, difficulty walking, low back pain, high blood pressure, stiff back
and fibromyalgia.
Aloe Pro (2 Tbsp. 2x daily). In addition to the wide variety of health benefits aloe provides alone (antiinflammatory and digestive health) when it is mixed with Coral Legend it binds with the coral minerals to
deliver them directly to soft tissue for maximum metabolic efficiency. Contains NO sodium benzoate or
potassium sorbate, or other toxic preservatives.
D3 Serum (6 – 12 drops daily). Vitamin D3 aids in calcium absorption for healthy pH balance as well
as bones and teeth. Studies propose ideal vitamin D3 intake should be 2000 IU daily or more.

The Super Food Trio consists of Premier Greens, Coral and Premier EFA’s. These three products are able
to effectively deliver every nutrient essential for life, each in their most biologically available forms.
Premier Green’s - multi-vitamin & mineral formula, available in powder or capsules. “Beyond
Organic” non-hybrid cereal grasses providing a quantum breakthrough in intracellular nourishment and
DNA repair. These grasses are low temperature, air-dried from South America - the finest ever produced
without any pesticides and toxic chemical additives.. Although grasses grown in the U.S. can deliver
beneficial nutrients, tests show their toxic levels are far too high (due to pesticide/ chemical residues).
Two major reasons that U.S. grasses are a problem: a) the water supplies contain high levels of pesticide

contain a large array of phytonutrients and antioxidants, with more vitamin C than oranges, more calcium
than milk, more iron than spinach and more beta-carotene than carrots. Cereal grasses also contain an
abundance of vitamin A, an important vitamin needed to help clear sick mucus membranes (mouth,
sinuses, ears, eyes, digestive tract).
Premier Greens also contains three, potent “beyond organic” South American grasses: barley grass, oat
