May the Lord bless these marriages. “So they are no longer two but one.” Matthew 19:6 DIVINE CALL: On Tuesday, November 1st, we the members of St. John extended a Call to Pastor Jon Hadler to serve as our Associate Pastor. Pastor Hadler is currently serving our Savior at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church in Marathon, Wisconsin. Please keep Pastor Hadler in your prayers as he deliberates where to continue serving our Savior. NEW MEMBERS: Melissa Hang and children, Neveah, Elleah and Aubrie have become members of our church. Please welcome our sisters in faith. PASTORAL CARE: If you are in need of pastoral services and are unable to reach Pastor Suhr, please contact Pastor Fred Toppe at (920) 358-7648. APPLE VALLEY FOOD PANTRY: Collection date is December 4th. Items in need are: cereal, spaghetti sauce and all noodles, all canned meats such as chicken and tuna, jam, canned fruit, boxed and canned potatoes, cookies, all crackers, lotions and hair conditioner, toilet paper and paper toweling. ADVENT MID-WEEK SERVICES: Our Advent mid-week services will be on November 30th, December 7th and December 14th at 10:30am and 7:30pm. We encourage all to take time out of the busyness of this time of year to come and worship our coming Savior. He came to Bethlehem. He comes to us in Word and Sacrament. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. Parents of catechism students: please come and worship with your child those Wednesday evenings. CELEBRATE THE GREATEST GIFT OF JESUS: After the children’s Christmas practice on Saturday, December 3rd all the children and families are invited to this event from 11:00am-12:30pm. The true meaning of Christmas will be taught, lunch will be served, and cookies will be decorated. If your family is coming, please sign up in the entryway. Use this as another opportunity to invite family or friends to hear the good news of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. CHRISTMAS CAROLING: We will be caroling to shutins on Saturday, December 10th. The Pioneers will go caroling with the congregation and will deliver the cards that they made for the shut-ins. We meet at church at 2:00pm. Please sign up in the entryway. CHRISTMAS DECORATING: We will be decorating the church for Christmas on Saturday, December 3rd at 11:00 am. All are welcome. ADOPT-A-FAMILY: Our congregation will be adopting families for Christmas from our congregation. If you would like to give a monetary gift, the money will be used to purchase appropriate gifts. This must be done by Monday, December 5th. Money can be given to Pastor Suhr. POINSETTIAS: If you would like to purchase a red poinsettia plant to decorate the church for Christmas, please sign the sheet in the entryway. The price is $13.00 per plant and Riverside by Reynebeau Floral will deliver them to church. You may take yours home after the Christmas Day worship. Please sign up by Sunday, December 4th.
