ORGANIZATION
The New Jersey State Law Enforcement Officers Association was
formed in 1938, incorporated originally as the New Jersey State Rural
P.B.A. It was incorporated under and
by virtue of an act of the legislature of
the State of New Jersey entitled “An
act to incorporate Associations not for
Pecuniary Profit” approved April 21,
1898.
Throughout the years, the Association has gone through many changes,
including two changes in the organization’s name. On institution of their
last name change to the New Jersey
State Law Enforcement Officers
Association, membership privileges
were expanded to include all facets of
law enforcement officers and associates. Currently, the Association includes members from the Federal,
State, County, and Municipal Law
Enforcement Agencies.
The State Association has a Board of
Directors. The governing powers of
the Association are vested in an Executive Board, consisting of one member, elected by the local and one delegate appointed by the president to
serve a period of three years. The
State Association has a Chaplain and
a Legal Advisor.
ANNUAL AWARDS AND
RECOGNITION DINNER
Each year the New Jersey State Law
Enforcement Officers Association holds
an annual awards and recognition dinner
to recognize and pay tribute to law enforcement officers who have committed
heroic or unselfish acts of bravery while
in the line of duty.
We are justifiably proud of these officers and acknowledge our duty to publicly honor them for their dedication in
protecting and serving their state.
NJSLEOA members are encouraged to
nominate law enforcement officers
whose actions can be deemed as heroic,
committed, or consistent.
This year is our 26th Anniversary and
our dinner will be held, once again, at
The Graycliff 122 Moonachie Avenue,
Moonachie, NJ on April 29th, 2017,
from 5:30 p.m. to midnight.
Upon arrival, our guests will enjoy
strawberries and champagne, a sumptuous hour and one-half cocktail hour
which includes Pasta, Carving Station,
Raw Bar and Martini Bar. Followed by
a three-choice Dinner. A six and onehalf-hour high-premium open bar and a
Viennese room with a coffee and cordial
station. As a tradition, there will be
dancing throughout the evening, silent
auction, and door prizes.
