Robert Owen Memorial Primary School Newsletter – June 2015 Another school session has flown by and we are almost at the end once again. Soon it will be time for our P.7s to leave us, our new P.1s to join us and everyone else to move on up the school. Thanks for all your support throughout session 2014/15. It has been very much appreciated. Staffing Mrs. Crook has been asked to go to Lanark Primary from August until October as Acting Head Teacher. Although we will miss her here it is an excellent opportunity for Mrs. Crook and I wish her well. At this moment in time I am not sure as to how this absence will be filled here but I hope to have a clearer idea before the end of term. I would also like to say a huge thank you to Miss Rattray, Mrs.Connelly and Miss Donnelly who will be leaving us at the end of term for the great impact they have all made on the children of Robert Owen. They are all permanent Area Cover Teachers now so they may be back with us at some time. I certainly hope so. 1. Lanimers Our Lanimer Committee has been working extremely hard to produce our school entry for this year’s celebrations – ‘Seaside Memories’. I would like to thank them for the hours they have put in on behalf of the school and hope for a great day on the 11th June. I would also like to thank Ruth McAllister for her invaluable commitment towards the production of the delightful item prepared for the Queen’s Reception. Her input is always greatly appreciated. Good luck to our Court Characters – Emma Black, Sarah Aitken, Alicia Gardiner, Christopher Barrett and Thomas McLellan. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I know I am going to be very proud of you all.
