Un prognóstico eletrónico del tiempo
¿Qué tiempo hace hoy? Eres meteorológo. Tienes que darnos
un prognóstico del tiempo para una ciudad que habla español.
1. Select any city in any Spanish Speaking country and research the weather
conditions it has for this time of year.
2. Then, videotape a weather report for that city, using the iMovie
app/camera on your iPad. You will upload it to our class YouTube channel.
Your 2-4 minute weather report MUST INCLUDE –
 You, speaking only in Spanish, acting as a meteorologist
 A mention of the city and country
 The weather forecast for “today” (give a date)
 The weather forecast for “tomorrow” (give the next date)
 Seasonal “have to’s” and “want to’s” for what we wear, do and use each day,
based on the weather and what that city has to offer. (For example, a city in the
mountains might indicate good weather for skiing, and a coastal city might have great
weather for a day at the beach. Be specific when you can with regards to actual places
within the city.)
 VISUALS – An interesting use of VISUALS – outfits, participants, photos,
posters, maps, signs, different “takes” of yourself, etc. Consider your
audience, and try to make connections with it through your visuals. Do not
just stand there alone in front of the camera the whole time.
Vocabulario útil:
- Use the expressions/vocabulary lists provided in class for this unit
- Use www.wordreference.com for related words that are not on the list, such as “forecast”,
“to shine”, “high,” “low”. Just be sure that you are using the correct part of speech (nouns,
verb, adjs)
**ojo** When you use the online dictionary, and look up words such as RAIN or SUN, when you
scroll down in the entry, you will find weather-related expressions, such as “rain cats and
dogs.” Using these phrases does not mean you do not have to use the vocabulary from
class…you can use these idiomatic expressions IN ADDITION TO the phrases you were expected
to learn from class as a way to avoid repetition.
Presentations must be uploaded to your Class YouTube Account by 8 AM,
_______________.
 If you work with another person, you EACH still have to do everything listed above, and
each of you will report on the weather in different cities. You will receive separate
grades.
