Central African Republic is spending some time with Mrs. Doris
Hannay, Loie who is an R.K has
served the Lord in various capacities since 1953. While here she will
be speaking to different churchrelated groups such as Pioneer
Girls, Sunday school and the
M.B.I. Quild (a ladies missionary
group). §he is a most versatile
person and can readily adjust to
any group or situation. She has had
a great deal of experience in the
field of nursing, dental work,
language study, music, cooking,
gardening and housework. You
name it and Loie can do it. She's
that type of person, one who fits in
anywhere.
Thought for the week: Faith is
the certainty that what we hope for
is waiting for us even though we
cannot see it.
THAYER'S CORNERS
Hello there everyone, everywhere. My, these past two days of
beautiful spring weather are the
greatest. At this rate the lawn
mower will have to be put into use
shortly. Already had the blade
sharpened. Have to check to see if
it starts. Sure am enjoying the
spring flowers.
Saw a blue heron fly over a few
days ago. My they are huge, but
quite a site to see.
Millie, my neighbor, keeps
telling me about the wild turkeys
she sees out back, but I never see
them. Told Millie she probably saw
oversized pigeons. I keep looking
for turkeys, but so far no luck.
Hear there are many about,
though. Maybe one of ihese days I
will be lucky and see some.
This beautiful weather gives a
person ,the incentive to spring
clean, which I am doing. It won't
be long before I will be back to
work, so have to do mine here
before that takes place.
Happy to hear Dorothy Britton is
coming along so nicely with her
progress at St. Peter's Hospital.
The nurses even have her up
walking some now, which is great.
Has beenmoving her left arm, also
lately which is another miracle.
Keep up the good work, Dorothy.
Our thoughts and prayers are with
you as always. At this rate you will
be leaving the hospital soon.
Suppose the people wintering
south will be returning to our north
country shortly. If not they will be
missing out on our beautiful spring
flowers and shrubs. This is my
favorite season, except for the
darned May flies. Those pesky
little rascals should be hatching
out.soon to pester us. All in all, I
prefer our state and weather
compared to the blizzards and
tornadoe^ going on in so many
other states presently.
Happy Birthday wishes to Jennifer Ruotolo on May 6; George and
Scott Hannay.and Perry Jones,
May 7; Richard Quick, May 9;
Nancy Rapp and Ruth Shaver,
May 10.
Now all you Christian Singles
