What do I do with my checks? FAQ; Mobile Check capture Patriot Federal Bank recommends that you retain your physical check for at least 10 days to ensure that your deposit was received and processed properly. After 10 days you should shred the checks. What does it cost? How do I prepare my checks for deposit? There is no cost for using this service. Who can use it? It is designed for customers with access to our touch banking mobile app. There are no restrictions regarding account type or balances. Customers with the bank for less than 30 days are not eligible to use this service. How does it work? It works just like bringing your checks to the bank. You take a picture and submit it for deposit. We review the deposit and approve it, just like at the teller line in-branch. Your funds are available for purchase and withdrawal the next business day. (Some restrictions apply, see disclosure for details.) Are there any limits? There is a check limit of $1,500.00 and a daily limit of $5,000.00. Amounts higher than these will still need to be processed at your friendly local branch. Is there a cut-off time? You may submit a deposit anytime, however you must submit your deposit before 3:00 PM ET on a business day for next day availability (business days exclude Saturday, Sunday, and all bank holidays.) When will my funds be available? Funds will be available for purchase and withdrawal the next business day, following the business day of deposit. Business days exclude Saturday and Sunday, and all bank holidays. For instance if you submit a check Monday at 1:00 PM ET the funds will be available for withdrawal or purchase on Tuesday. If you submit your deposit after 3:00 PM ET or if Monday is a bank holiday, your deposit will be processed on Tuesday and your funds will be available on Wednesday. Other holds may apply, see disclosure for details. Checks must be properly endorsed prior to deposit just like at the teller line. On the back of the check sign your name and put your account number on the check. Also write "Mobile Deposit" underneath your endorsement. 3rd party checks, endorsements. or checks requiring special Checks made payable to anyone other than the account holder must be deposited in-branch. For example, if your roommate receives a paycheck and signs it over to you in exchange for rent, you must present that check for deposit at a branch, it can’t be deposited by mobile deposit. Checks requiring special endorsement, such as Jane Doe for Susan Doe Rep Payee, or Jane Doe for Susan Doe as Power of Attorney, etc. may not be deposited via mobile deposit. Joint checks, such as insurance, settlement, or taxrefund checks which are made payable to multiple parties may only be deposited to an account on which all named parties are OWNERS of the account. Deposits made via mobile app which are not in compliance with these policies will be rejected.
