Vocabulary
repeating decimal: A decimal with a
pattern of fixed number of digits that
repeats forever such as 0.33333... and
0.7373... A repeating decimal has a
remainder that will never be zero. It
has a digit or group of digits in the
quotient that repeats over and over.
terminating decimal: A decimal that
ends, or terminates, such as 0.5 or
0.125. Terminating decimals have a
remainder of zero.
