A Message from the Pioneers of Humusmanagement and
Controlled Aerobic Composting, according to Lübke
The path to soil fertility is not a difficult one, if you know where to take the right turns. Within
40 years of research, we have found a direct path to successful humus build-up, for any type of
soil, under any climate condition.
The name, representing this research and the concept that developed out of it, is
Humusmanagement and Controlled Aerobic Composting, according to Lübke. A Controlled
Composting Process, according to Lübke represents the scientifically most advanced method of
composting, producing the highest quality of compost possible. Humusmanagement offers the
most efficient way of building up humus in soils, in a very short period of time.
Even though we will never be able to disclose all of nature’s secrets and research must go on, we
are giving our best to share the answers we already have. We all know it is high time to start
rebuilding humus in soils, on a large scale, since we are not far from a major breakdown of
agriculture. The only way to prevent the final collapse is to reestablish the most vital resource we
once had: live humus in soils.
Our first attempt has always been to learn about the connection between soil health and human
health. In a healthy soil, that provides all necessary nutrients to plants, the crops will grow well and
will be healthy. Such plants have no need for commercial fertilizers and agricultural chemicals.
Therefore the yields will be high, the plant quality excellent and the effects on the human body
positive.
We are helping farmers and scientists worldwide, to understand natural cycles from the building
of humus to human health.
It is not only the consumer, who profits from better food quality, every life form receives benefits
through Controlled Aerobic Composting & Humusmanagement.



Controlled Aerobic Composting, according to Lübke & Humusmanagement is not a ‘system’
that will make farmers dependent, it is a concept that can be understood by anyone, no matter
what level of education they have.
Once Controlled Aerobic Composting & Humusmanagement is understood, the concept behind
it, can be realized step by step, in respect to the work power available - and according to the
individual possibilities.
Controlled Aerobic Composting, according to Lübke & Humusmanagement can be realized on
any scale, on any soil, in every climate.
 Controlled Aerobic Composting, according to Lübke & Humusmanagement is a possibility
for agriculture to regain its independence.
We would like to invite you, to give yourself a chance! See for yourself that this is a unique
concept, that will make your farming practices more profitable and can help the agriculture of your
country back on it’s feet.
We offer a wide variety of seminars, from humus building to composting and food quality testing, to
food safety courses. To give you an idea about our seminars, you can find the outline of our Basic
humusmanagement and composting seminar on the next two pages or go to our website

In loving Memory of ‘father’ Lübke
‘Father’ Lübke, as dear friends and family always called him, has left our world for the ‘long journey’
in July 2014. We feel honored and blessed, that we were able to share a wonderful life with our dear
father, and we are grateful for the opportunity to carry his legacy on to future generations.

Basic seminar on
Humusmanagement and
Controlled Aerobic Composting
for agriculture & related fields
Humus build-up for a healthy & successful agriculture
through the support of living-humifying compost
The basis to all health is living humus in soils. This means, we need to find - the way and the
means - to save the humus we have, and to build up living humus in soils, as quickly as possible.
This is our only chance, to turn around the worldwide decline of agriculture, we evoked through
our inconsiderate agricultural systems. Humusmanagement offers practical concepts and
individual solutions to efficient humus build-up, within a short period of time.
3 convincing reasons, why you should concern yourself with Humusmanagement:
1) Humus decline of soils has become the most pressing problem of the 3rd millenium.
2) Humus decline is the main financial loss of all of agriculture.
3) The lack of humus in soils puts agriculture at the mercy of the worsening climate conditions.
CONCLUSION: A method that has the answers to those vital questions is worth evaluating.
One of the main aids in Humusmanagement is the use of highest quality, aerobically produced
compost, that is alive with the greatest possible diversity of humifying life.
During the basic seminar our combination of lectures and hands-on experience will provide you with
the necessary tools to start your own composting right away, or improve your current practices.



You will build the knowledge and the background, on how to ensure a highly efficient and
therefore economical composting process.
You will get the necessary practical experience, to apply the learned right away.
You will learn to understand the mutual effect of compost and humus build-up.
Knowledge creates competence. Competence is the basis to independence!
Within the 7 days of the ‘Basic Seminar on Humusmanagement & Controlled Aerobic Composting’
you will get the chance to find a completely new perspective on environment and soils and how to
change the current situation, by designing your very own, individual solution.
Day 1: The basics of Humusmanagement. A slide lecture provides a fundamental
understanding for the mutual influence between soil and environment.
Central theme:
 How barren soils can be revived, and brought back to fertile farmland.
 Green manure in proper application.
 Proper soil tilling - integrated with no-till and minimal till.
 The mutual effect of quality-compost and soil. Proper equipment choice. a.s.o.
Day 2 Morning: The basics of Quality-Composting, part 1. A slide lecture provides a fundamental
understanding of composting according to natural cycles.
Afternoon:
Composting practice, part 1. Building a properly made windrow.
Efficient use of composting equipment, eliminating losses.
Day 3 Morning: The basics of Composting, part 2. A lecture about microlife in compost.
Topics like:  Anaerobic microorganisms antagonists to aerobic life.
 The advantages and dangers of water.  From waste to live humus.
Afternoon:
Composting practice, part 2. Operation of instruments, water application,
correction of problem situations. Proper site construction.
Demonstration and discussion of soil profiles in practice.
Break for Weekend
Day 4: Laboratory - Chromatography.
Microorganisms are the central coordination agent in soils.
Since it is a difficult and lengthy process to determine variety and total count of
microorganisms, most farmers and gardeners know little about the most important support
factor of their soils.
Round-Filter-Paper Chromatography was developed by Dr. Ehrenfried Pfeiffer, for soils
and composts, to provide the practitioner with an economical, fast and simple method, to
evaluate the microbial life of his/her own soil.
You will learn to use this excellent tool yourself.
Composting practice: water management and daily process monitoring.
Day 5: Laboratory - Fast Test Methods.
The condition of soils and maturity of compost determined by fast test methods.
What factors make compost most sustainable in soils. Detoxification of soils.
The basics for an efficient soil building program.
Morning:
Laboratory work, part 1. Fast test methods to determine quality and maturity.
Central theme of the day:  how to eliminate losses in composting.
 what factors make compost most sustainable in soils.
Afternoon:
Laboratory work, cont.
Slide lecture: raw materials for composting, applied properly.
Composting practice: water management and daily process monitoring.
Day 6 Morning: Laboratory work, part 2. Why quality-compost has a positive and lasting
influence on soil and environment. Compost application and humus build-up in
soils. The Humus-Test monitors humus building.
Afternoon:
Interpretation of results.
Composting practice: water management and daily process monitoring.
Day 7 Morning: How barren soils can be revived, and brought back to fertile farmland.
 The advantages and limitations of Vermicompost
 Compost Extract/Tea – production and use
 Plant Coal - production, elimination of byproducts, proper use
 Proper compost application
 Elimination of pathogens in soils
 Recovery of the water balance of soils
Afternoon:
