Golden North Tour
This FAM tour is designed specifically for Chinese tour operators and will be operated in Mandarin by a local Chinese
tour company visiting many Alaska tourism properties. The tour begins in Anchorage on Friday morning and concludes
in Fairbanks on Monday morning. Highlights of this trip include flightseeing around Mount McKinley, spotting wildlife
as you travel around the Fairbanks area, mineral hot springs, crossing the Arctic Circle and viewing the Northern Lights
or Aurora Borealis. You will also dine at a local brewery and have the opportunity to taste locally crafted beers. There will
be a reception in your honor where you will meet and network with local tourism partners.
Bring your cameras, cold weather gear and enthusiasm for this remarkable experience. There will be opportunities to
purchase outerwear and boots in Anchorage before your departure to Fairbanks if needed.

Weather &
Activity Level:
The average daytime temperatures
in February in this area of Alaska
average between -18°C (0°F) and
-29°C (-20°F), often dropping
below -30°C (-22°F) at night.
Many of these activities require
time spent outside. Plan to dress
for cold temperatures with very
warm layers, wind and rain proof
outerwear. We recommend
insulated boots. If you do not own
cold weather gear, there will be an
opportunity to purchase or rent
from a local outfitter in Anchorage
before you depart on your FAM
tour or Adventure Day.
This tour includes a moderate
amount of walking and the option
to take part in more physical
activities including snowshoeing.
