Dec 8th - Level 1 walk. 2 miles. Birstall. Walk Leader: Active Together Team.
Meet at School Lane car park at 10am and take a walk around the area. Cost: Free
Dec 21st – Level 2 walk. 3 miles Quorn Walk Leader: Active Together Team
Meet at the free car park in Quorn on Station Road at 10am and take a healthy walk around
the surrounding area. Walking boots recommended. Cost: Free
Jan 3rd - Level 3 walk. 5 miles. Cossington. Walk Leader: Walter Brown.
Meet near the church at 10am and take a walk across Cossington meadows towards Ratcliffe.
Walking boots recommended. Cost: Free
Jan 6th – Level 2 walk. 3 miles. Anstey. Walk Leader: Active Together Team
Meet at Nook Car Park, Anstey at 10am and take a healthy walk around the surrounding area.

Meet at The Bull’s Head, Thringstone at 7.30pm and take a walk around one of the most
haunted locations in the county. This walk will incorporate a talk on local stories. Please bring
cameras and torches. 20 places available, so booking essential on 01530 458872.

Meet at Glenmore Park car park, Shepshed (near St Winefride’s Primary School) at 10am and
take a jitty walk to see Shepshed as it looks from the back. No special equipment needed, just
sensible shoes and outdoor clothes suitable for the weather. Children welcome. This walk is
wheelchair and buggy friendly. Cost: Free

wildlife area by the river towards Sileby. Walking boots recommended. Cost: Free

Meet at Meadow Lane, Birstall at 10am and go geocaching (like a treasure hunt with GPS
receivers which will be available to fine containers known as caches). Cost: £2.50 per person

Meet at St Paul’s Church, Woodhouse Eaves at 10am for a circular walk to Beacon Hill.

Meet at the car park on High Street, Woodhouse Eaves at 9.30am, and learn about Nordic

Meet at The Green, (Bradgate Road) Anstey at 10am and follow the hedges to the west of the
village towards Groby Quarry and Sheet Hedges Wood. Walking boots recommended. Cost:

Meet at Holy Trinity Church at 2pm, and take a walk around Barrow Upon Soar and learn
about the history of the area. Cost: £3 if booked and paid in advance, or £4 on the day,
