Non-Print Items LOAN POLICY FOR NON-PRINT MATERIALS GENERAL Loan period for BOOKS ON TAPE OR CD will be two (2) weeks, with one renewal (14 days). Loan period for DVD's, VIDEOTAPES, MUSIC CD'S, AND COMPUTER FILES (DATABASES) will be one (1) week with one (7 days) renewal. PLEASE, DO NOT return non-print items in the DROP, as they are easily damaged. A violation could result in having your loan privileges suspended for one month. Repeated violations could result in permanent suspension of media loan privileges. Overdue fines are based on the number of items. Each album is barcoded and so, counts as an item. One album containing several CD's, tapes, etc. has one barcode and counts as one item, but when a title requires two or more albums, fines are applied to each. 1/4 Non-Print Items All overdue fines are 5 cents per day, per item, unless otherwise noted, as is the case with Videotapes and DVD's. Lost or damaged fees are different, because they are based on the complete title. Obviously, loss or damage to even just one CD or tape will usually require withdrawal from circulation of the whole set. Videos, DVD's Books on CD, Books on Tape, Music CD's, Computer Files, and any other non-print materials may NOT be COPIED. Observance of copyright law is the responsibility of the patron. they may not be broadcast on television, cable, or closed circuit systems. They may not be exhibited in public or semipublic places, whether or not admission is charged. Most non-print materials are "for home use only". They may not be shown in clubs, lodges, factories, summer camps, nursing homes, or schools. However, individuals living in nursing homes or other long term care facilities may check out these materials for personal use in their rooms. Book On Tape / Book on CD (Audiobooks) Loan limit of ten (10) items (not necessarily ten titles - may be less if multiple albums) 2/4 Non-Print Items Fines for Multi-volume titles will be applied per album, not title. (example: Volume 1 & 2 in separate albums = fines for two items) Please rewind cassette tapes. Music CD's & Computer Files Limit of five (5) items, each. Video & DVD DVD - Limit of five (5) titles VIDEO - Limit of five (5) titles. All fines will be applied to each video tape, as they are in separate barcoded cases. 3/4 Non-Print Items Overdue fines are $1.00 per day, that the library is open, per item (not title). There may be multiple DVD's in one case, but this would count as one overdue. 4/4
