Normandy - Alexandra School

Newsline ~ Normandy Geese
Autumn 2008
Normandy Geese have had a very exciting
term. We watched our new classroom
being right from the foundations to the
finished product. First we watched the
builders dig up the playground, and we
saw where the new classroom would be.
Then we watched them put up the walls.
When we got back from the summer
holidays the roof was on, and we could see
what the room would look like. We started
the year in another classroom, but we
visited the new one lots to see how things
were progressing.

The class looking festive in our new
room
Last week we moved into the new room.
We had to make sure that all of our things
were bought from the old room. People
came in to fit new computers and
whiteboards and we put up the Christmas
lights and tinsel to make it look festive. We
had to have lots of blinds fitted as the
classroom has so many windows. It is very
bright and airy. The art area looks like a
brand new kitchen! Everyone is very
jealous of our new classroom. People keep
coming to see us and saying how much
they would love to be in here!
The very lovely art area—
look at the worktops!
So what do we think?
George likes the
radiators.
Calum,
Hassan and Abdi
love the new sink.
Louise
likes
the
colour of the new
carpet. Peter loves
all the new computer
equipment. Alex and
Priya think it is really
lovely and bright.
Aoife,
Jane
and
Elena love how big
their new cupboard
is. Now they just
have to keep it tidy!
