Tune In To The Sounds of English
The Sounds of English spelling pack is an innovative new resource
developed by DSF Literacy Services. This approach to spelling was
developed in order to encourage students to “tune in” to the sounds of
words and to consider how these sounds can be represented with
letters and letter patterns. Each pack contains a laminated Sounds
Sheet with each of the 44 Sounds of English represented by
picture and word clues as well as a 25-page “Have A Go” pad
where each sound in a spelling word is written down in a box using
the associated letter or letter pattern. The Extended Pack also
includes an 8-page A4 size reference booklet for Spelling Rules and Grammar.

Magnetic Morpheme Activity Pack
These colourful and innovative packs include a 22cm x 28cm magnetic whiteboard, 34
Latin morpheme cards, 34 Anglo Saxon morpheme cards and 40 Greek morpheme cards.
Each magnetic laminated card contains a morpheme – an element of speech which
carries meaning. These include prefixes, base words and suffixes. On the back of
each card is the description and meaning of the morpheme. The cards can be used
on a magnetic whiteboard for word building activities which focus on word families
and Latin word structure. Such activities are perfect for upper primary and secondary
