Mercedes-Benz child-restraint systems are
optionally available with an automatic child-seat
recognition (AKSE) transponder. If your vehicle is
equipped with the AKSE system, the front-passenger
airbag is deactivated automatically as soon as an
AKSE child seat is fitted in the front passenger seat.
All our child seats can also be used in vehicles which
are not equipped with the ISOFIX mounting system.
More information about the Mercedes-Benz range of
child-safety equipment can be found in our special
brochure which is available from your Mercedes-Benz dealer.
“kid” child seat
Booster seat with height-adjustable backrest. Side belt guides prevent the
lap section of the seat belt from riding up over the child’s abdomen.
Optionally available with automatic child seat recognition transponder.
For children aged between approx. 3.5 and 12 years (15 to 36 kg)
“topsafe” child seat
“duo” child seat
Your child can use the same TOPSAFE seat up to about the age of four
(18 kg). In rear-facing mode (suitable for babies), the TOPSAFE can
be used up to an age of about 18 months. Older children can be carried
simply by turning the seat through 180°. In forward-facing mode,
the TOPSAFE can be adjusted to provide a sitting or a reclining position.
The TOPSAFE can be secured using the ISOFIX system or by means
of a 3-point seat belt. Supplied with new-born insert, padded table and
support. Equipped with automatic child seat recognition transponder
