Instructions for the use of airbeds with screw valve Safety Directions The airbed is mainly designed for domestical use. The airbed is not designed to be used as a trampoline – danger of damage. Attention: keep airbed away from sharp objects and uneven floor – danger of damage. In order to protect the airbed always place a pad between floor and airbed. Check for leakage before use! This inflatable article is not designed for use in water and therefore it is no swimming aid for children or non-swimmers! General advice: Every airbed may gradually lose some air. This loss of air pressure depends on material, on environmental influence and on weight put on airbed during use. This loss of air is not due to defect in the material but a result of a normal process depending on the material. If necessary blow in some air to fill the airbed again. Directions for Use Inflation and Deflation: In order to inflate the article unscrew the cap of the screw valve. Then choose a suitable adapter and put on the valve opening. As the next step, inflate the airbed by means of blowing air into it by using appropriate bellows, or an air pump of the WEHNCKE Inflation Pump Program respectively. Blow in sufficient air in order to fill up the individual chamber sections to their full extent; yet, the outer seam must still show folds. Thus you avoid tearing of the welding seams. Never use an air compressor or compressed air for filling. After having filled up the airbed close again the valve with the valve cap. Inflation through safety valve: For this purpose use a conventional air pump out of the Wehncke collection e.g. a Wehncke double action pump. In order to inflate the air bed, please remove the valve completely from out of the valve insertion, and then pull the stopper out of the valve extension. As the next step, inflate the article by using appropriate air pump. Blow in sufficient air in order to fill up the air chamber to its full extent; yet, the outer seam must still show folds. Never use an air compressor or compressed air for filling. After filling has been completed, close the valve immediately with the stopper. In order to empty the air chambers open the valve cap of the screw valve. For quick deflating you can unscrew the complete screw valve. In order to empty the airbed completely, the air chamber should additionally be squeezed at the same time. Directions for use: Please handle the airbed with care. Avoid rubbing and dragging at walls or on floors (danger of damage). In case of improper use (break or tear of material) we cannot give guarantee. Direct sunlight may cause an increase of the air pressure. In this case release some air through the valve until the outer seam shows again some folds. Attention! The colour of this article may come out of the mattress. Please use a suitable underlay. Repairs: Although the airbed has been manufactured of a high quality material, it is still possible to cause holes or fissures when the mattress is handled improperly. For the repair of a small damage, a Repair Set is included in the delivery. For carrying out repair work, deflate article first and then proceed as follows: 1. Clean the surface around the damaged spot by means of clean water and a mild detergent. Allow the spot to be repaired to dry well. 2. Cut a round or oval patch from the repair material supplied. The patch should cover the damaged spot by about 3 cm over its size. 3. Apply a thin layer of the adhesive agent both on the patch and on the location to be repaired. Allow adhesive agent to air for about ten minutes. 4. Apply again special adhesive agent on both sides and allow again adhesive agent to dry for about ten minutes. 5. Place the patch with adhesive agent on the spot to be repaired and press them firmly together. 6. After another ten minutes, apply adhesive agent all along the edges of the patch. 7. Inflate the airbed again only after 24 hours hardening time. Keep the special adhesive agent away from children! Avoid contact with the skin! Protect your eyes! Do not swallow! Vapour can cause sleepiness and daze! Keep away from ignition sources – do not smoke! Cleaning and storage: The airbed must be cleansed after utilization with a (damp) cloth from soil on the surface. When necessary, use a mild detergent for cleaning without scouring. Subsequently, allow the airbed to dry at the open air, before the air is completely evacuated. Then fold it up and store the airbed at a dry and frost-free location. When folding the mattress up, take care that there are no sharp folds in the plastic sheet.
