TUESDAY AFTERNOON GOLF TOURNAMENT
ABOUT OCEAN REEF CLUB’S DISTINCTIVELY DIFFERENT COURSES
Golf has been played at Ocean Reef Club since the first 9-holes were opened in 1955. The Dolphin and the Hammock are in great
condition, but offer distinctly different tests of golf. These two 18-hole golf courses were designed originally by Bob Von Hagge
and Bruce Devlin in 1969, and the championship quality and caliber of both courses challenge players of all levels.
The tournament will be held on The Hammock Course on Tuesday, November 14, 2006. Tee off will be at 12:30 p.m.
The Hammock Course is a true test of target golf. With fairways meandering through a natural hardwood hammock and with water
hazards on fourteen of the eighteen holes, concentration becomes key to a good round. This course presents a most interesting and
challenging experience for golfers at every level of skill. It is considered the most beautiful course at the Club, and contains many
rare and endangered species of plants and animals for one to observe and enjoy.
The Dolphin Course which underwent a $3 million redesign and renovation in 2000-2001 under the direction of Golf Course
Architect Chip Powell, allows much more margin for error off the tee, with quite generous fairways. The real test on the Dolphin
course arrives when you get to the greens. Large, undulating greens require careful reads to avoid the dreaded three-putt. Club
selection, allowing you to get close to the flagsticks, is very important on your approach.
Our tournament has become an important part of our event, so please guarantee your entry by signing up on the enclosed
Registration form today. Green fees are $199.00 and include carts, range balls, and prizes. Beginners, spouses and guests are
welcome!
And, as a final note, we must have either your current handicap or the average of your last three scores in order to complete the
pairings (Beginners should write “beginner” under the handicap section). Should you have specific questions pertaining to the
tournament, please feel free to contact Jackie Forese at 516-810-3796 ([email protected])
We are also looking for golf goodie bag stuffers. If you have any promotional items you would like
included, please contact Michael Bryant at 949-475-0760 ([email protected])
NOTE: For those not playing golf on Tuesday, please review the enclosed activities sheet so that you can
plan your day accordingly.

WINTER SEASON DRESS REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERS AND GUESTS
Effective November 1 to April 30
A WORD ABOUT DRESS REQUIREMENTS
The Dress Requirements are an important tradition at Ocean Reef Club and were established to complement the excellence in
standards for which the Club is noted. It is the responsibility of each member to conform to the Dress Requirements, and to ensure
that family members and guests do so as well.
The Staff has been instructed to assist members and their guests to comply with the Dress Requirements. The Staff also has been
instructed to enforce them, and to refuse admittance or service to persons who are in violation.
We hope that the following guidelines will be helpful in making your time enjoyable and comfortable for all.
