Farms week! American Farmland Trust’s Dine Out for Farms
is a national, week-long event that brings together our
restaurants and consumers to support a sustainable future
for America’s farms. In honor of this event, we will be
donating 100% of the revenue from a featured dish to
American Farmland Trust. Don’t miss this opportunity to
celebrate delicious food and the farmers who grow it!
Dinner & Theater: Othello Takes Center
Stage!
October 19th – November 6th The rapid ascent of the
powerful Othello and his love affair with the beautiful
Desdemona is thrilling to watch. Themes of love, jealousy
and perception are explored through the use of onstage
projections, a shifting geometric set, and the swirling
choreography and physical expression of Synetic’s
performers. Venture through Othello’s struggles with
perception and race, and try the garbanzos con espinacas, a dish that captures his
own Moorish roots. Dinner & Theater Packages are only $70 and available for

Garbanzos con Espinacas
For Garbanzo Prep: Soak garbanzos in water
over night. The next day, strain the garbanzos
and add to a large pot. Next, add to the
garbanzos cold water to cover, carrots, celery
stalks and onion. Simmer for 2 hours or until
tender, remove and strain.
While the garbanzos are cooking, remove the
crust from the bread and fry at 350˚ until golden
brown. In a separate pan, heat the oil and slowly
brown the garlic. Next, add chopped onions and
lower the heat. Sweat the onions until nice and
soft. Remove the onions and garlic from the heat
and add paprika and cumin. Blend together the
fried bread and onion mixture until smooth.
Remove onion, carrots and celery from
garbanzos. Add the puree to the garbanzos.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes. Fold
in spinach and season with salt to taste. Ladle
soup into bowls and top with fried egg and
crouton.
