Hi, my name is Benjamin Hoogeveen. I am a former JUSC pl ayer and current JUSC coach. On May 29, 2011 my sister
Megan was diagnosed with a very rare disease called Hemophagocytic LymphoHistiocytosis (HLH), and died one month
later on June 29, 2011. Out of this tragedy, the Megan Hoogeveen Memorial Foundation (Megan's Legacy) was born.
Megan 's Legacy is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization dedicated to supporting HLH research at Cincinnati Children 's
Hospital and HLH education through the hematology/oncology specialists at Blank Children's Hospital.
