EVENT VENUES
HOPSIDE DOWN
This space is located on our lower level, right off of our
lower patio, and has access to the Riverwalk with views of
the Milwaukee River.
• Holds up to 40 people for a sit down dinner. Ten additional
seats at the bar.
• Holds up to 75 people if you include a third of the patio.
• Has audio/visual capabilities with two televisions.
PRICING OPTIONS
INSIDE DINING AREA
• Has a $1,000 food and beverage minimum for a four hour rental. Additional hours are available for $200 per hour.
• Venue includes the entirety of Hopside’s Dining Area and a half section of the bar reserved for your event.
• No one other than your guests will be permitted to eat, drink, sit or order drinks from your sectioned area of the
bar or dining space.
INSIDE DINING AREA AND PATIO SPACE.
• Has a $1400 food and beverage minimum for a four hour rental. Additional hours are available for $300 per hour.
• Venue includes the entirety of Hopside’s Dining Area, four tables on the patio sectioned off for your event.
EVENT VENUES
UPPER PARTY ROOM
Located on our main floor off the dining room. It features
views of the river, exposed cream city brick and large
windows.
• Seats up to 35 for a sit down dinner.
• Background music is played throughout the first floor.
• No patio space is available for this space.

WEEKDAY PRICING SUNDAYS – THURSDAYS
• Has a $750 food and beverage minimum for a two and a half hour rental. Addtional hours are available for $200
per hour.
WEEKEND PRICING FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS
• Has a $1,200 food and beverage minimum for a two and a half hour rental. Addtional hours are available for
$300 per hour.
EVENT VENUES
MAIN FLOOR
The heart of our restaurant is our bar and main dining
room. The 40 foot bar, cream city brick, stage and in house
brewery create a unique event space. The dining room
features river views out of large windows.
SEMI PRIVATE
• This semi private space includes two tall top tables and
three booths. The space included would be sectioned off
just for your group.
• This space can accommodate 30 people with space for
mingling.
PRICING
• There is a $500 food and beverage minimum for a four hour rental for the semiprivate space.
• The area may be extended to accommodate larger groups. Groups that require more space will be subject to a
higher food and beverage minimum.
PRIVATE BAR
• Has TV, microphone and audio visual capabilities as well as a stage for speeches or a place to have your own
booked band.
• Can be set up to accommodate groups up to 200.
PRIVATE BAR AND DINING ROOM
• Has TV, microphone and audio visual capabilities as well as a stage for speeches or a place to have your own
booked band.
• A main floor rental includes the upper patio space.
• Can be set up to accommodate groups up to 400.

BEVERAGE SERVICE OPTIONS
OPEN BAR
Open bar would include beer, wine, liquor and non-alcoholic options for your guests. Soda, teas, coffee and
juices are included as non-alcoholic drink options. Open bar costs would be put towards your food and beverage
minumum. If you are hosting an open bar and the space is not private the Ale House will provide wristbands for
your group so staff can identify them as part of your group.
TIME LIMITED OPEN BAR
The bar would be open to your guests until a predetermined time. After you reach that time the bar would then
go to a cash bar and your guests would be responsible for purchasing their own drinks.
SPECIFIED AMOUNT OPEN BAR
The bar would be open to your guests until a predetermined dollar amount has been spent. After you reach your
specified amount the bar would then go to a cash bar and your guests would be responsible for purchasing their
own drinks.
DRINK TICKETS
Each of your guests would receive drink ticket(s) upon their arrival. A drink ticket can be redeemed for one drink.
The host decides how many drink tickets they would like to offer to each guest. Drink ticket costs would be put
towards your food and beverage minumum.
SPECIFIED AMOUNTS
The host can decide prior to the event a maximum value for each ticket, for example a drink ticket can be
redeemed for a drink up to $7. If a drink costs more than $7 your guest would be responsible for payment.
SPECIFIED BEVERAGES
The host can decide prior to the event what type of beverage a drink ticket can be redeemed for, ie, Milwaukee
Brewing Company beer only. If a guests requests a different type of beverage they would be responsible for
payment.
A combination of the above options is available.
CASH BAR
Everyone would be on their own to purchase both non-alcoholic such as juices, teas, or sodas and
alcoholic such as beer, wine, or liquor. Cash bar would not be put towards your food and beverage minumum.

If there is a special item that you would like served at your buffet, please contact Manda Gill. We will check
availability and pricing and do our best to accomidate your request.
Groups with less than 20 may create a small menu with options from our regular menu for their event. For more
information, inquire with Manda Gill.

BRINGING IN YOUR OWN DESSERT
Guests are able to bring in their own desserts from licensed bakeries. There is a $25 cake fee for any dessert not
purchased from the Ale House. Homemade desserts are not allowed.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
DO YOU HAVE BAR PACKAGES OR SPECIALS FOR LARGE GROUPS?
No we don’t. The beverage service portion of your event is completely up to you. You can offer a hosted bar, a cash bar, an open bar for
a certain amount of time, or use drink tickets and predetermine how many drinks you are buying for your guests, what they are good
for, and/or the amount that the ticket is valued at. This area is very flexible and is up to you. Please see our Beverage Service Options
for more information.
HOW DO YOU SET UP THE TABLES?
Table set up can be determined by you and the size of your group. This area of your event is flexible. We can also set up dessert tables
or gift tables in addition to your guest seated tables if you like.
CAN I BRING IN MY OWN LIVE MUSIC?
Yes you can. You can bring a DJ, acoustic guitar player, or a small band into Hopside Down. They can be set up inside Hopside or on
the patio if you include it in your reservation. For the Main Bar area, with a buy out, you can also bring in a band, DJ, or acoustic guitar
player. You will be responsible to book the music and take care of payment for them yourself. This area of party planning also must be
approved by upper management.
WHAT IF I HAVE A GUEST WITH FOOD ALLERGIES OR DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?
If you have a guest with special food needs, we are happy to accommodate him or her. We can offer them the regular menu so he
or she can order their meal separately from your determined food options. You can also pre-order his or her meal separately to
accommodate his or her allergy or dietary restriction.

GUIDELINES AND POLICIES
EVENT RESERVATIONS
• The Ale House will place a tentative hold on a date for seven days only. A signed credit card authorization form must be received
within seven days to confirm the reservation. A preliminary attendance figure is required at this time as well.
• If the credit card authorization form has not been received by the end of the seven day tentative hold, the reservation is released and
the date is made available to other clients.
• A complete and signed copy of the event contract must be received at least seven days prior to the event.
DECORATIONS
• The Ale House will not be responsible for any decorating other than the set up of tables, chairs, linens and table settings.
• Decorations are allowed. You are able to come one hour prior to your event to decorate. Please coordinate timing with Manda Gill.
• No staples, tacks, glue, or nails will be allowed on the fixtures, walls or ceilings. Confetti and glitter is not allowed.
• Decorations must be completely removed from the space at the end of the event.
• The host is responsible for any damages inflicted to the property by the guests.
BEVERAGE SERVICE
• The Ale House requires proper identification (photo ID) of any person of questionable age if alcoholic beverages are served. We will
refuse service if the person is either underage (even if a legal guardian is present) or cannot provide proper identification.
• It is the right of the Ale House to refuse beverage service to anyone who appears to be overly intoxicated.
MENUS AND GUARANTEES
• Final menu selections must be madea minimum of 10 days prior to your event. No menu changes will be accepted after this point.
• When hosting a buffet lunch or dinner, the Ale House must have a firm guarantee of the number of guests to be served no later than
seven days prior to your function. The number of attendees may not decrease after this point. You will be billed for the number of
guaranteed attendees or the number of actual attendees, whichever number is greater. In the event that a firm guarantee is not
received, the original preliminary attendance count will be prepared and billed.
• The host is responsible for paying for any food ordered that is not consumed.
• Catering menu prices are subject to change without notice.
PAYMENT
• All bills must be paid at the end of the event. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diners Club or cash.
• The Ale House will issue only one check per party. It is the host’s responsibility to collect payment from their guests if they choose to
pay separately.
SERVICE CHARGES AND APPLICABLE TAXES
• Menu prices do not include sales tax or gratuity.
• All food and beverage, before sales tax, is subject to a service charge of 20% and will be applied to the final bill.
• Tax exempt groups must provide a tax exempt certificate as proof.
CANCELLATIONS
• Events may be cancelled with no cancellation fee up to 10 days prior to the event. If an event is cancelled within 10 days of the event,
the credit card provided upon making the reservation will be charged a $300.00 cancellation fee or charged for the pre-ordered and
prepared food, whichever is greatest along with a 20% service fee.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS
• No carry-in food or beverages are allowed.
• Federal, state, and local laws prohibit removal of excess beverages from the Milwaukee Ale House after your event.
• The Ale House is not responsible for the loss of or damage to articles at the event left prior to or after the event.
