What you don’t know can hurt you

Lucas.

Storm Chasers
Each year, approximately 1000 tornadoes touch
down across the United States -- nearly 10 times
as many as in the next closest country. Since the
late 1950s, a growing number of atmospheric
nomads called storm chasers have traveled the
nation's heartland in search of the world's most
violent storm, the supercell, and its offspring, the
tornado. Join SRC Foundation Director Colin
Davis to learn about the history of storm chasing. You'll find out why thousands of people hit
the road each spring and what it's like to be one
of them as Colin shares some personal
experiences and photos from 15 years of chasing.
