Greetings Jewish teens of the
great states of Kentucky,
Indiana, and Ohio! Our
names our Jaimie Maxwell
and Grant Hansell and we
are both humbled and honored to be serving as your
57th Regional Mazkirim! We
have so much planning for
you guys this year and we
are so excited that we have
the opportunity to share it
with you. One of the things
that we can’t wait to present
to you is our brand new
Quack Committee where
YOU will have the opportunity to be a journalist for the
Quack! So, be on the lookout
for that application soon. Any
who, we have plans for a lot
of other awesome stuff this
year along with the rest of
the 57th and we honestly
can’t wait to present it. But, if
you guys have anything you
want to see from us we will
be more than happy to listen!
So, if your feeling friendly
come up to us at a convention or meeting and meet us!
If your shy, bring a friend,
bring your mom, bring your
dog, bring Glen, it doesn’t
matter, we just want the opportunity to talk to you because after all this is YOUR
region. So, be on the lookout
for some awesome opportunities from us and the rest of
the 57th. So hold on to your
kippot because it’s going to
be one awesome ride.

A note from your coordinators
As the coordinators of the best convention in the history of KIO, we are so excited to
bring you guys an incredible Judaic and personal experience for Kallah 2011. Our theme
“If you will it, it is no dream” provided us with an incredible and unique
way to present the region with awesome programming and to really let
the seniors go out with a bang. We hope you all had/have an amazing
weekend!

IC 2011: Our Movement. Our Moment
Take a moment and imagine what it would feel like to be in a room with 750 other Jewish
teens from around the world. These teens are just as passionate about BBYO as you are, if
not more. These teens are all here for the exact same reason, to represent their region and
the International order. I had the privilege to experience this feeling when I attended International Convention 2011: Our Movement, Our Moment. IC took place in Los Angeles on
February 17th– 21st. IC began with a crazy opening ceremonies in which Sammy and I
walked down in front of the entire order to Pon De Floor. This year IC also made history
when we successfully had our first day of service. Everybody attending the convention went
out into the LA community to do different types of community service for different organizations. The convention ended Sunday night with a rally to support inclusion which included
multiple speakers, including an Autistic teen. Overall IC was a fantastic experience, and I
cannot wait to spend it with all of you next year in Atlanta!
