In the fall -
cool mile-high climate provides a beautiful change
of seasons, unsurpassed in the area. Apple
orchards cover the slopes laden with blossoms
in the spring and apples in the fall. The scenery
is more like New England...and only 90 minutes
from Los Angeles on the way to Palm Springs.

forty specialty shops in the Glen. Bed & breakfast,

available. During the fall season, at a few ranches
you can pick your own apples, make your own
cider or maybe enjoy country music and dancing.
You can visit the one-room schoolhouse, take a
hay ride, or a nature walk.

the fall or pick fresh raspberries in the summer
months. Dozens of varieties of apples, cider and
preserves are available at most ranches beginning
in September. Yes, you can ask for a taste before
you buy! Oak Glen apples are so good - right off
the tree.

heart-warming meal, topped off with a slice
of fresh baked apple pie is daily fare in Oak Glen.
A number of family restaurants, pie shops and
bakeries await the hungry traveler through the
Glen. Jams, jellies, apple butter and candied
apples are just some of the apple products to be

rom January to March, Oak Glen often receives
a fairly heavy snowfall, but the road is always
cleared, so visitors can come enjoy the snow,
visit the quaint shops or restaurants. In the spring,
usually mid-April through mid-May, the apple
trees are in full bloom - a sight to behold. The
summer months in Oak Glen are cool and green
with temperatures 10-15 degrees cooler than
the valleys below and mid-summer is raspberry
pickin’ time in Oak Glen.
