Monday: Spelling: Sort Spelling words into three columns: ‘ies’, ‘ed’, or ‘other’ if need be.
Reading: Read AR book for 20 minutes.
Math: Complete front side of the math worksheet AND Corrections (10 times each).
Please check student’s Conduct folder. Return the folder on Tuesday.
Tuesday: Spelling: Sort Spelling words into two columns (those with-ed and those with –ing endings)
Reading: Read AR book for 20 minutes.
Math: Complete back side of the math worksheet AND Corrections (10 times each).
Wednesday: Spelling: Write words in ABC order.
Reading: Read AR book for 20 minutes.
Math: Complete front side of the math worksheet AND Corrections (10 times each).
Thursday: Spelling: Practice test signed by a parent.
Reading: Read AR book for 20 minutes.
Math: Complete back side of the math worksheet AND Corrections (10 times each).
Friday: NO HOMEWORK

Spelling = Changing Final ‘y’ to ‘i’
(When a base word ends with a vowel and a consonant, the consonant is usually doubled before –ed or –ing
is added.)
Spelling Words: babies, puppies, cried, carried, stories, dried, hurried, ponies, flies, tried,
parties, pennies, lady, very, canaries, libraries
Challenge Words: canaries, libraries, married, worried, scurried, lilies, countries, candies, spied,
cherries
Students will only use the list that is checked for their homework and spelling test.
