Dear Gardening Friends,
Elaine and I wish to sincerely THANK all our loyal customers, our mail order customers and new customers that supported
our flower farm during the 2016 season. The 2016 growing season presented many challenges to the home gardener as well
as most businesses in the ‘green industry’ due to the severe drought conditions in our region. The drought also created a
great deal of stress on our honeybees resulting in a smaller fall honey crop and the loss of four hives in the
September/January time frame due to Colony Collapse Disorder.
Gardeners quite often are heard saying “there is always next year” and here we are already at the beginning of the 2017
growing season. We can’t do much about the weather except to complain about it - but when it comes to our offerings for
2017, we have done a lot about that by providing the largest variety of sun and shade perennials, daylilies, hosta, peonies,
herbs, aquatic plants, ferns and woodland plants than we’ve ever offered in the past. NEW this year as well are ornamental
grasses, flowering shrubs, more woody plants, expanded garden décor and gift items in the Garden Shed.
We hope that you like our new format and we look forward to seeing all of you at the Farm this season.
